Carry on with my work and always put children first
Father Giovanni Scalabrini
Father Giovanni “John” Scalabrini was an Italian missionary who dedicated his entire life to supporting the people of Uganda.
Arriving in Uganda in 1964, he remained there until 2016, the year he passed away
He worked in the north first and then in the capital Kampala where he built schools and colleges, an orphanage and a hospital around his mission.
He supported the studies of thousands of orphans and children and youths from disadvantaged families, and taught hundreds of youngsters and adults a trade.

Renovating Secondary kitchens and bathrooms with Biotoilets
At BCK Secondary we need to renovate the old kitchens. The traditional wood-burning method will be replaced by a system with low environmental impact: biogas. The use of renewable energy will make it possible to combat deforestation. Students will also be offered specific training on these issues.- € 9.315Donated

Building the Canteen
The BCK Nursery and Primary School does not have a clean, safe place where children can eat their meals: this places them at high risk of contracting illnesses. Furthermore, given the Covid-19 emergency it is necessary to build new classrooms in order to respect social distancing. For this reason we have designed a multi-purpose building that has a canteen on the ground floor and 8 new classrooms on the first floor.- € 102.749Donated
