in the capital city Kampala the Foundation supports:
A Nursery School
The “Bishop Cipriano Kihangire Nursery School” attended by 215 children between 3 and 6 years of age;
A Primary School
The “Bishop Cipriano Kihangire Primary School” attended by 1,125 pupils of between 6 and 12 years of age; of these, 386 children are boarders and housed in a structure adjacent to the school so that those who come from further afield are also able to access the education provided by the school;
A Secondary School
The “Bishop Cipriano Kihangire Secondary School” attended by 2,753 pupils of 12 to 17, 1358 of whom boarders; in terms of its range of subjects and level of teaching, “Bishop Cipriano Kihangire Secondary School” is regarded as one of the best in the country and offers great hope for the future for the 1,448 boys and 1,305 girls that attend it.
In our schools particular attention is focused on the health of the children: every pupil is given two nutritious meals a day, lunch and a snack, as well as basic health coverage with all of our hospital’s medical staff available to them if required.
The Bishop Cipriano Kihangire (BCK) schools also offer numerous posts for teachers and school staff, who are provided with regular training and updating courses.

Renovating Secondary kitchens and bathrooms with Biotoilets
At BCK Secondary we need to renovate the old kitchens. The traditional wood-burning method will be replaced by a system with low environmental impact: biogas. The use of renewable energy will make it possible to combat deforestation. Students will also be offered specific training on these issues.- € 9.315Donated

Building the Canteen
The BCK Nursery and Primary School does not have a clean, safe place where children can eat their meals: this places them at high risk of contracting illnesses. Furthermore, given the Covid-19 emergency it is necessary to build new classrooms in order to respect social distancing. For this reason we have designed a multi-purpose building that has a canteen on the ground floor and 8 new classrooms on the first floor.- € 196.505Donated
